The Armed Forces Officers Club in Zamalek (26 July Street) was established in the mid-1950s following the 1952 Egyptian Revolution as part of the expansion of military social institutions in Cairo. It offers members of the military recreation on Cairo’s most popular island. The facade relief has been renovated recently. Not fitting in style, right above it, is a second frieze, by Fathy Mahmoud (1918-1982), one of his main competitors at the time.
